Kolkata is the most honest of India’s big training markets on price. Four of the seven institutes running data analytics courses here publish a fee on their own page, and the published analytics range runs from ₹35,000 at EME Academy in Sector V to ₹1,07,000 for the top tier at Webskitters Academy. What makes the city unusual is who publishes and who does not: the three genuinely local operators all show their prices with EMI terms, and the three national chains show nothing.
The local institutes publish, the chains do not
This is the reverse of every other city we looked at, and it is worth saying plainly.
EME Academy publishes ₹35,000, down from ₹45,000, for its six-month data analytics course. Webskitters Academy publishes three tiers: ₹39,999, ₹64,999 and ₹1,07,000, each against a higher struck-through price, each with EMI available. Karmick Institute publishes two: ₹65,000 and ₹78,000, with a zero-interest option to pay in three equal parts, a published eligibility bar of 10+2 pass, and the start date of its next cohort. All three are Kolkata businesses with Kolkata addresses.
The three that publish nothing are ExcelR, Boston Institute of Analytics and Croma Campus, all national operators running a Kolkata landing page. Boston Institute of Analytics says so in its own FAQ: the cost “varies based on the program structure and duration” and you are advised to consult its academic counsellors. Croma Campus’s Kolkata page carries the same empty tab labelled COURSE FEE as its other city pages, and its only published address is a head office in Noida. ExcelR does publish a real Camac Street address, and no fee, which is what it does in every city in the country.
Learnbay, also a national operator, is the exception that publishes: ₹1,20,000 plus 18% GST from its Sector V address, though the Kolkata page it prices is its data science and GenAI course rather than an analytics one.
If you want a shortlist you can build from a browser rather than from four phone calls, Kolkata is the city where that is actually possible.
The same institute charges ₹20,000 more in Mumbai
One finding in this research makes the point about how local training pricing works better than any argument.
EME Academy runs two centres, one in Kolkata’s Sector V and one in Mahape, Navi Mumbai. The data analytics course is the same product on both pages: six months, “Learn & Get Hired in 6 Months!”, online and classroom sessions, the same placement claims, the same “Save ₹10,000” badge. In Kolkata it is ₹35,000. In Mumbai it is ₹55,000. The data science course runs ₹40,000 in Kolkata against ₹55,000 in Mumbai.
Both pages were read on the same day in September 2026.
The institute is entitled to price by market, and Kolkata learners are on the right side of this one. The lesson is that a training fee is a read on what a city will pay, not a cost-plus number, which is exactly why asking for a discount is normal here and why a quote should always come in writing.
What each institute publishes, read in September 2026
| Institute and location | Format | Duration as listed | Listed fee | Placement support, in their words |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EME Academy, Sector V, Bidhannagar | Online and classroom, flexible batches | 6 months | ₹35,000, from ₹45,000 | “100% Placement Assistance”, “750+ placements in the last year alone”, “Access to 50+ hiring partners” |
| Webskitters Academy, Sector V | Online or hybrid, practical plus live projects | 3 to 5 months | Three tiers: ₹39,999, ₹64,999 and ₹1,07,000, EMI available | “4000+ Students Placed”, “Complete Placement Assistance”, top tier adds “Priority Placement Assistance” |
| Karmick Institute, Salt Lake Sector V and Santoshpur | Online, offline or hybrid | 6 months, next cohort date published | Two tiers: ₹65,000 and ₹78,000, zero-interest EMI in three parts | “100% Placement Assistance”, “50+ mock interviews”, Vishlesan I-Hub IIT Patna certification, eligibility 10+2 pass |

| ExcelR, Camac Street | Blended classroom, live online and recorded | 150+ hours over 6 months | Not published, enquiry only | “network of 4000+ hiring partners”, “Dedicated Placement Cell” |
| Boston Institute of Analytics, Park Street, no street address published | Blended classroom and live-streamed online | Three tracks: 4, 6 or 10 months | Not published, enquiry only | “100% Placement Assistance”, “350+ corporate partners” |
| Croma Campus, no Kolkata address published | Online or offline | Not stated on the Kolkata page | Not published, enquiry only | “100% Placement Assistance”, “400+ Corp. Tie-Ups” |
| SkilloVilla Data Analytics with Python | Live online, no Kolkata centre | 4 to 5 months of live classes | ₹71,999, currently ₹58,999 | Placement support: resume work, mock interviews, referrals |
Every fee, duration and claim above is quoted from the institute’s own page as it read in September 2026. Fees and ratings last checked September 2026; confirm current numbers with the provider before enrolling.
One caution on the figures you will find elsewhere. Third-party course aggregators carry specific prices for Boston Institute of Analytics’ three tracks. The institute does not publish those numbers itself, so treat anything you read on an aggregator as unconfirmed until a counsellor states it in writing.
Almost the entire market sits on one corridor
Four of the seven institutes, EME Academy, Webskitters, Karmick and Learnbay, have their main address inside Sector V, Salt Lake. ExcelR is on Camac Street in the centre, Boston Institute of Analytics is in Park Street, and Karmick runs a second branch at Santoshpur.
For most of the city that is convenient, because Sector V is where a large share of the jobs are too. If you live on the Howrah side or out towards Barrackpore, count the evening commute honestly before committing to three classroom sessions a week, and ask whether the institute’s hybrid option lets you attend the theory sessions online.
What Kolkata hires analysts for
Kolkata’s analyst demand sits mostly in IT services delivery and business process operations, concentrated in Sector V and the newer campuses around New Town and Rajarhat, plus the corporate head offices in the centre of the city across consumer goods, paints, banking and manufacturing.
That mix shapes the job you are training for. Entry-level roles here lean towards reporting, MIS, process and operations analytics inside large delivery organisations rather than product analytics at a consumer technology company. SQL and Excel carry the interview, with Power BI or Tableau next. It also means the local ceiling is lower than in Bengaluru or Gurugram, and that a good share of Kolkata-trained analysts end up in a remote role or move for their first job.
None of the salary sources we track publishes a Kolkata-specific band for the role, so the national figures are the only defensible reference. AmbitionBox, read in September 2026, puts the data analyst band at ₹5.2 lakh to ₹5.7 lakh a year at TCS and ₹5 lakh to ₹5.5 lakh at Infosys, against ₹6.6 lakh to ₹7.3 lakh at Accenture and ₹7.7 lakh to ₹8.5 lakh at Deloitte, all India-wide. 6figr and levels.fyi report two to three times those numbers for the same titles, drawing on contributors weighted towards large product employers. Locally, EME Academy’s own page claims placements with salary “ranging up to ₹40,000/month”, which is the institute’s claim rather than a market figure. Our data analyst salary guide sets out the full spread by source.
Classroom in Kolkata, or live online
Kolkata has a genuine argument for the classroom that many cities do not: the local institutes are cheap by national standards. ₹35,000 for six months in Sector V is less than half what the same operator charges in Mumbai and a third of what a national online programme costs. If you want a room, a fixed batch and a teacher you can corner after class, that is real value.
The argument on the other side is reach. A Kolkata placement cell works Kolkata, which is the thinner market of the two you might be hiring into, and the roles that pay at the top of the national bands are largely outside the city or remote. If your search will run through national job boards, weigh a programme whose hiring network does the same. Our online versus offline comparison works through the trade-off, and the national shortlist in best data analytics courses in India covers the options that are not city-bound.
Where SkilloVilla fits
Geography first: SkilloVilla has no centre in Kolkata. The classroom centre is in JP Nagar, Bengaluru, rated 4.8 on Google, with a second launching in Jaipur in September 2026. The brand overall is rated 4.2. For Kolkata learners, the offering is the live online track.
The Data Analytics with Python track is ₹71,999, currently ₹58,999, for 4 to 5 months of live classes, with 1:1 mentorship from working analysts, real business projects and placement support covering resume work, mock interviews and referrals. The Data Analytics and Generative AI track is ₹84,999, currently ₹71,999. Scholarships are available based on candidate profile; contact admissions for payment options. SkilloVilla reports alumni earning between 4 and 15 LPA, with a median package of 9.5 LPA and a highest of 32 LPA, at companies including Accenture, PwC, Deloitte, Razorpay, Flipkart and Swiggy, most of which hire remotely as well as in their own cities.
Be clear about what the price difference buys. At ₹58,999 this costs more than the cheapest Kolkata classroom option and less than Karmick’s or Webskitters’ top tier, and what it adds is 1:1 mentorship from a working analyst and a hiring network that is not city-bound. What it does not add is a room to sit in, which for some learners is the thing that makes a course finishable. And SkilloVilla sells placement assistance, not a job guarantee, so if an institute here offers you a guarantee, read our comparison of job guarantees and placement assistance and ask to see the agreement before you sign.
How to choose in Kolkata
- Start with the published prices. ₹35,000, ₹39,999 and ₹65,000 at the entry of each local institute’s range give you a real market shape before any counsellor quotes you anything.
- Ask the three that publish nothing for a written total with GST stated, and compare it against those four. If a chain will not put a number in an email, that is information.
- Ask what the same course costs in the institute’s other cities. One operator here is ₹20,000 cheaper in Kolkata than in Mumbai for the identical six-month course.
- Check what a tier actually adds. Webskitters and Karmick both sell tiers, and the differences are in placement priority and coaching rather than the core syllabus. Ask what changes in the teaching.
- Ask for three recent placements with company, role and month. “4000+ Students Placed” is a marketing claim; three names you can look up on LinkedIn are evidence.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a data analytics course in Kolkata cost?
Published fees in September 2026 run from ₹35,000 at EME Academy in Sector V, through Webskitters Academy’s three tiers at ₹39,999, ₹64,999 and ₹1,07,000, to Karmick Institute’s two at ₹65,000 and ₹78,000. Learnbay publishes ₹1,20,000 plus 18% GST, though its priced Kolkata page is a data science course. ExcelR, Boston Institute of Analytics and Croma Campus publish no fee and quote on a counselling call.
Which is the best data analytics institute in Kolkata?
For value with a published price and a real Sector V classroom, EME Academy at ₹35,000 is the obvious starting point. Karmick is the most transparent overall, publishing tiered fees, EMI terms, an eligibility bar and a cohort start date, along with an IIT Patna linked certification. Webskitters suits someone who wants to pick a service level rather than a single package. For 1:1 mentorship and a hiring network beyond the city, a live online track compares well against all of them.
Why do the national chains not publish fees in Kolkata?
Because their pricing is set on a counsellor call rather than on a page, which is the same pattern they follow in every other Indian city. Boston Institute of Analytics states this openly in its own FAQ, and Croma Campus keeps a tab labelled COURSE FEE with nothing behind it. It is not a reason to rule them out, but it does mean you cannot compare them against the local institutes without spending an hour on the phone.
Does SkilloVilla have a centre in Kolkata?
No. The classroom centre is in JP Nagar, Bengaluru, with a second launching in Jaipur in September 2026. Kolkata learners take the live online Data Analytics track at ₹71,999, currently ₹58,999, which carries the same 1:1 mentorship from working analysts, the same real projects and the same placement support as the classroom cohort.
Are weekend or hybrid batches available in Kolkata?
Hybrid is the standard here. Karmick describes its six-month course as a blended online, offline and hybrid programme, EME Academy advertises both online and classroom sessions with flexible batches, and Webskitters lists its mode as online or hybrid. Learnbay lets learners pick weekday or weekend timings. Webskitters’ enquiry form offers weekday slots only, so confirm the weekend option on the call before you assume it.
What salary can a data analyst expect in Kolkata?
No major salary source publishes a Kolkata-specific band, so use the national ones and adjust down for a services-heavy local market. AmbitionBox, read in September 2026, puts the role at ₹5.2 lakh to ₹5.7 lakh a year at TCS and ₹6.6 lakh to ₹7.3 lakh at Accenture, India-wide. SkilloVilla reports alumni earning between 4 and 15 LPA with a median of 9.5 LPA, which reflects a national rather than a city-bound job search.
How long does a data analytics course in Kolkata take?
Three to five months at Webskitters, six months at EME Academy, Karmick and ExcelR, four to ten months across Boston Institute of Analytics’ three tracks, and nine to thirteen months for Learnbay’s data science and GenAI course. Live online analytics tracks run 4 to 5 months. Whichever you pick, allow another two to three months of applications and interviews before a first offer.
