A data science course in Delhi costs anywhere from ₹50,000 at a Pitampura classroom institute to ₹1,94,000 plus GST for an IIT Delhi continuing education certificate, and a good half of the market will not tell you the price at all. The two programmes run by IIT Delhi’s Continuing Education Programme are the only ones in this city that publish a fee, the GST on it, a dated instalment calendar, an eligibility bar and an attendance threshold. Hansraj College, which ranks alongside them, publishes none of that.
The most revealing thing about the Delhi market
Seven providers run a data science course page for Delhi. We read every one of them in September 2026 and recorded exactly what each published.
Three publish a fee: IIT Delhi’s CEP, AnalytixLabs and DICS Innovatives. Four do not: Hansraj College, ExcelR, Madrid Software and Croma Campus.
Now look at what the university programmes publish beyond the headline number. The Certificate Programme In Data Science AI and Machine Learning, batch 12, lists ₹1,50,000 plus 18% GST and then sets out all four instalments with dates: ₹15,000 within five days of selection, then ₹37,500, ₹52,500 and ₹45,000 on three named dates. It states the eligibility bar, which is a graduate or diploma holder in any discipline with at least 50% in mathematics or statistics in the twelfth examination. It states what the certificate requires, which is 50% in two of three quizzes, a satisfactory group project and 70% attendance. It states the placement position in its own words: assistance available to all registered learners, focused on candidates with zero to five years of experience, extending for three months from the start of the programme.
The second CEP programme, in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, publishes ₹1,94,000 plus 18% GST and adds that the ₹1,000 application fee is non-refundable and will not be adjusted against the programme fee. That is an unglamorous sentence and it is exactly the sentence most providers omit.
Against that, Hansraj College’s community college page gives you a duration of six months, weekend online classes and a UGC-approved certificate. No fee. No eligibility bar. No placement claim. It is a real programme from a NAAC A+ college, and it may well be the right pick for someone, but you cannot evaluate it without making a phone call.
Read the two together and you have the honest rule for Delhi: the further a programme sits from a university, the less it publishes about the commercial terms. Use that as a filter, not as a verdict. Ask the institutes that publish nothing for the same six things IIT Delhi puts on a public page, and see how quickly you get them.

What you are choosing between, in plain terms
A university certificate. The two IIT Delhi CEP programmes are Sunday-morning live sessions over six or eight months, taught by IIT Delhi faculty, ending in a certificate with the institute’s name on it. You apply, you are selected, you pay in instalments, and you must attend. If your employer’s promotion policy asks for a recognised academic credential, this is the category that answers it. It is also the most expensive: ₹1,50,000 or ₹1,94,000 before GST, against ₹50,000 at DICS.
An institute programme with an IIT-linked badge. AnalytixLabs sits here, at ₹53,100 to ₹87,320 depending on whether you take classroom, live online or blended delivery and whether you want the TIH at IIT Bombay or IIT Patna certificate or the NASSCOM one. Nine published prices on one page, which is unusual and useful. It also runs 56 classes across 500 hours, the heaviest contact time of any option in the city.
A local classroom course. DICS Innovatives publishes ₹50,000 for eight months in Pitampura. That is the cheapest real classroom option with a published price in Delhi, and it comes with a metro station at the door and assistance language rather than a guarantee.
An enquiry-only programme. ExcelR, Madrid Software and Croma Campus. Madrid publishes both weekday and weekend batch start dates and caps batches at 5 to 20 students, which is genuinely useful information, and then does not publish a fee. Croma’s own FAQ says a Delhi data science course “typically” runs three to nine months, which is another way of saying the page will not commit to a duration either.
Is data science the right course, or is it analytics?
Worth settling before you spend ₹1,50,000. A data science programme teaches statistics, machine learning and modelling. A data analytics programme teaches SQL, Excel, a business intelligence tool and enough Python to automate the boring parts. Entry-level hiring in Delhi NCR is much heavier on the second than the first, because most of the openings at the large consulting, business process and banking employers in Gurugram and Noida are reporting and decision-support roles.
The pay data says the same thing from the other side. AmbitionBox, read in September 2026, puts the data scientist band at ₹15.1 lakh to ₹16.7 lakh a year on a base of 60,900 salaries, with its youngest published band, one to three years, at ₹11.3 lakh to ₹12.5 lakh. Payscale’s entry-level figure for the same role, on 307 salaries, is ₹5,95,255, with early career at ₹10,05,147. 6figr reports a fresher figure of ₹18 lakh. Those are not the same job market: Payscale’s sample is broad, while 6figr and levels.fyi skew towards large product and technology employers. If you are switching careers and have no statistics background, an analytics track first and data science second is usually the faster route to a first offer.

How to choose, in five questions
- Do you need a university name on the certificate? If yes, the CEP programmes are the only route in this list that gives you one, and the price difference is what you are paying for it.
- Can you actually attend? The CEP batches run every Sunday morning for six to eight months and require 70% attendance for the certificate. That is a real commitment to make before you pay the first instalment.
- Do you meet the eligibility bar? Batch 12 requires 50% in mathematics or statistics in class 12. If you do not have it, that programme is closed to you and the decision is already made.
- Are you sure you want data science and not analytics? Check the job postings you would actually apply to. If they ask for SQL and Power BI rather than modelling, an analytics track gets you there faster and cheaper.
- What does the institute that publishes nothing say when you ask? Ask for the total, the GST, the instalment dates, the eligibility and the refund policy on the first call, and see how much of it arrives in writing.
