Data Analyst Salary at Accenture, Deloitte, TCS and Infosys (2026)

8 min read

On AmbitionBox, read in September 2026, a data analyst’s typical range is ₹7.7 lakh to ₹8.5 lakh at Deloitte, ₹6.6 lakh to ₹7.3 lakh at Accenture, ₹5.2 lakh to ₹5.7 lakh at TCS and ₹5 lakh to ₹5.5 lakh at Infosys. Deloitte pays roughly 50 percent more than Infosys for the same job title.

Those four bands rest on the largest employee-reported samples available, between 1,700 and 7,900 salaries per company. Everything below adds the other sources, the levels inside each firm, what a fresher is offered, and the parts where the published numbers do not hold up.

The four companies side by side

Company AmbitionBox typical range Indeed average 6figr median levels.fyi median
Deloitte ₹7.7 lakh to ₹8.5 lakh ₹7,98,082 ₹9.9 lakh ₹8,03,373
Accenture ₹6.6 lakh to ₹7.3 lakh ₹6,35,866 ₹11.4 lakh ₹10,70,706
TCS ₹5.2 lakh to ₹5.7 lakh ₹4,95,707 ₹10.3 lakh See the caution below
Infosys ₹5 lakh to ₹5.5 lakh ₹5,76,561 ₹8.6 lakh ₹10,06,613

All read in September 2026. AmbitionBox and Indeed agree on the ordering, Deloitte first and TCS or Infosys last, despite counting different things: AmbitionBox counts salaries employees report, while Indeed’s company pages estimate from job postings, 12 to 64 of them per company.

6figr runs higher than the AmbitionBox band at all four companies, by more than ₹4 lakh at Accenture and TCS. levels.fyi runs higher at Accenture and Infosys and lands inside the band at Deloitte. Both sites work from 24 to 95 profiles per company against AmbitionBox’s thousands, and people who volunteer a package to a compensation site are not a random slice of the analysts at these firms. That self-selection pulls towards the better-paid internal tracks, so read those two columns as the top half of each company rather than its middle.

Three published numbers that do not hold up

This is not a general disclaimer. These are three specific figures you will find if you go looking, and each one is broken in a way you can check.

levels.fyi’s TCS median. It publishes a median of ₹4,99,410 for the role at TCS from 47 submissions, and on the same page it publishes a figure of ₹6.27 lakh for C1, the lowest level it lists. A median below the floor of the lowest band is an internal contradiction in the source’s own numbers. Use its by-level figures instead, or one of the other sources, but do not quote that median.

6figr’s Infosys average. It shows an average of ₹25.9 lakh and a median of ₹8.6 lakh for the same 24 profiles. The average is roughly three times the median because at least one profile in that set reports total compensation above ₹280 lakh, which drags the mean somewhere no actual Infosys data analyst sits. The median is the usable number on that page.

Payscale’s Infosys page. It reports an average of ₹6,75,000 from 9 salary profiles, and the page was last updated in December 2024 while every other source here was refreshed during 2026. Treat it as a historical reading, not a current one.

Accenture

AmbitionBox puts the typical data analyst range at ₹6.6 lakh to ₹7.3 lakh from 4,300 reported salaries covering 0 to 6 years, and its page was last reviewed on 24 September 2026. Indeed’s posting-based average is ₹6,35,866 from 64 job postings, and Payscale reports ₹6,99,546 from 28 profiles. Those three land within about ₹65,000 of each other, which is as close to agreement as this topic gets.

The compensation sites sit higher. 6figr reports a median of ₹11.4 lakh and an average of ₹11.7 lakh from 73 verified profiles, with the top 10 percent above ₹18.1 lakh and the highest single report at ₹36.9 lakh. levels.fyi reports a median of ₹10,70,706 from 95 submissions, with its highest at ₹17,47,507.

6figr’s level breakdown is the most revealing thing on any of these pages, because Accenture does not have a single “data analyst” band. It has several adjacent ones, and which internal track you land in matters more than your years.

Level as 6figr lists it Experience Average total pay
SE (Software Engineer) 3 years ₹5 lakh
Associate Business Analyst 2 years ₹6 lakh
Software Engineer Analyst 3 to 4 years ₹7 lakh
Analyst (Business Analyst) 3 to 4 years ₹9 lakh
Data Scientist Analyst 3 to 5 years ₹14 lakh
Team Leader (Business Analyst) 6 years ₹14 lakh
Senior Data Scientist 6 years ₹20 lakh
Senior Business Analyst 12 years ₹30 lakh

Read the fourth and fifth rows together. At three to five years, the business-analyst-tagged track averages ₹9 lakh and the data-scientist-tagged track averages ₹14 lakh. Same company, overlapping experience, a difference of ₹5 lakh that comes from which family the requisition was raised under.

On the fresher offer, AmbitionBox’s 0 to 1 year band for Accenture is ₹4.9 lakh to ₹6 lakh from 214 salaries. Payscale’s entry-level figure is ₹3,56,078, but it rests on 5 salaries and should not carry weight against 214.

Deloitte

The best-paying of the four on the broadest sample. AmbitionBox reports a typical range of ₹7.7 lakh to ₹8.5 lakh from 2,100 salaries covering 0 to 5 years, reviewed on 20 September 2026. Indeed’s posting-based average is ₹7,98,082 from 26 postings, which is unusually close to the AmbitionBox band.

Payscale is the outlier in the other direction at ₹6,24,000 from just 16 profiles, on a page last refreshed in May 2025. 6figr reports an average of ₹10 lakh and a median of ₹9.9 lakh from 34 profiles, with the top 10 percent above ₹14.4 lakh. levels.fyi reports a median of ₹8,03,373 from 108 submissions, its largest per-company sample among these four, and lists L1 at ₹8.20 lakh and L2 at ₹11 lakh.

6figr’s level table for Deloitte is worth showing with a caution attached.

Level as 6figr lists it Experience Average total pay
L2 (Business Analyst) 1 year ₹4 lakh
L1 (Data Scientist) 1 to 3 years ₹9 lakh
L1 (Software Engineer) 2 to 4 years ₹9 lakh
L2 (Entry Level or New Grad) 0 to 3 years ₹11 lakh

Two rows carry the label L2 and differ by ₹7 lakh, which tells you the level names on these pages are the labels individual contributors typed in rather than Deloitte’s official grade structure. The pattern still holds: the data-science-tagged and engineering-tagged entries sit above the business-analyst-tagged one.

The fresher picture is the clearest of the four companies. AmbitionBox’s 0 to 1 year band is ₹6.1 lakh to ₹6.9 lakh from 256 salaries, which is roughly ₹1 lakh above Accenture’s equivalent band. Payscale does not publish an entry-level figure for Deloitte at all, because its 16-profile sample is too small to break out, and saying so is more useful than filling the gap.

TCS

The lowest AmbitionBox band of the four, and the largest sample behind it. AmbitionBox reports ₹5.2 lakh to ₹5.7 lakh from 7,900 salaries covering 1 to 7 years, and publishes no 0 to 1 year row for this company and role. Indeed’s posting-based average is ₹4,95,707 from 53 postings, and Payscale reports ₹5,00,000 from 33 profiles.

TCS is also the one company of the four where Glassdoor is readable. It reports a total pay average of ₹4,50,000 a year from 3,100 submitted salaries, which it rates “Very High Confidence”, with additional pay averaging ₹35,000 a year in a range of ₹5,000 to ₹98,000. That additional-pay line is useful context for anyone comparing offer letters: at this level the variable component is small in absolute terms. On Accenture, Deloitte and Infosys, Glassdoor sat behind a hard sign-in wall when we checked, so no Glassdoor figure appears for those three anywhere in this article.

6figr reports a median of ₹10.3 lakh from 44 profiles, roughly double the AmbitionBox band, which is the self-selection effect at its widest on this page. Its level table is short.

Level as 6figr lists it Experience Average total pay
C2 (Software Engineer) 3 to 7 years ₹9 lakh
C2 (Business Analyst) 4 to 6 years ₹10 lakh
C2 (Data Scientist) 7 to 8 years ₹12 lakh

levels.fyi lists C1 at ₹6.27 lakh and C3A at ₹20.4 lakh, and its highest reported figure is ₹20,41,880. Those by-level numbers are usable even though its median is not, for the reason given earlier.

On freshers, AmbitionBox’s youngest published band is 1 to 3 years at ₹4.2 lakh to ₹4.6 lakh from 3,000 salaries. Payscale’s entry-level figure of ₹3,64,310 comes from 5 salaries. A first TCS analyst offer realistically sits below the 1 to 3 year band rather than inside it, and neither source publishes a number solid enough to quote as the offer itself.

Infosys

AmbitionBox reports a typical range of ₹5 lakh to ₹5.5 lakh from 1,700 salaries covering 0 to 5 years, reviewed on 20 September 2026, which is the lowest band of the four and close enough to TCS to call them level. Indeed’s posting-based average is ₹5,76,561, though from only 12 postings, the thinnest sample in this article. levels.fyi reports a median of ₹10,06,613 from 23 submissions.

6figr’s page for Infosys is the one to handle carefully. Use its median of ₹8.6 lakh and ignore its ₹25.9 lakh average, for the reason set out earlier. Its level table has two entries: JL4 as a business analyst at 3 years averaging ₹4 lakh, and JL4 as a software engineer at 3 to 5 years averaging ₹7 lakh.

The fresher figures here disagree more sharply than at any other company. AmbitionBox’s 0 to 1 year band is ₹1.9 lakh to ₹2.5 lakh from 47 salaries, the lowest fresher figure of the four. Payscale’s entry-level average for the same company and role is ₹5,87,500, from 6 profiles, on that page last updated in December 2024. Those two cannot both describe the same offer, and neither has a sample worth defending. Name both if you are quoting them, and do not average them.

Freshers at all four, in one place

Company AmbitionBox 0 to 1 year band Salaries behind it
Deloitte ₹6.1 lakh to ₹6.9 lakh 256
Accenture ₹4.9 lakh to ₹6 lakh 214
Infosys ₹1.9 lakh to ₹2.5 lakh 47
TCS Not published for this role The youngest band is 1 to 3 years at ₹4.2 lakh to ₹4.6 lakh, from 3,000 salaries

Read in September 2026. Payscale publishes entry-level figures for Accenture (₹3,56,078), TCS (₹3,64,310) and Infosys (₹5,87,500), but each rests on 5 or 6 profiles, so the AmbitionBox column above is the one to plan against. Our guide to the data analyst fresher salary covers the national picture these four sit inside.

Services firms against product companies

The four companies on this page are consulting and IT services firms, and that is the main thing setting their bands, more than any difference between them. AmbitionBox’s industry table for data analysts, which we read for our data analyst salary guide in August 2026, makes the point cleanly.

Industry Average annual CTC Salaries in the sample
Financial services ₹10,00,166 5,945
Software product ₹9,06,581 5,742
Management consulting ₹8,49,978 12,936
Internet ₹7,21,337 6,685
IT services and consulting ₹6,08,630 45,258
Analytics and KPO ₹5,96,453 7,385

IT services carries 45,258 of the reported salaries, more than the rest of the table combined, and pays second from bottom. That is the trade-off these four companies represent: the easiest place in India to get a first analyst title, hiring in volume and teaching client work fast, on a band set by the rate the client is billed rather than by what you produce. Management consulting sits ₹2.4 lakh above IT services, which is why Deloitte’s band runs above TCS’s and Infosys’s even though all four get grouped together in conversation.

None of this makes a services firm a bad first job. It makes it a bad fifth year. The analysts who end up well paid in India usually start at one of these four and leave at the two to three year mark.

What actually moves your number inside these companies

Which internal track your requisition sits in. The 6figr level tables above show data-scientist-tagged roles paying ₹4 lakh to ₹5 lakh more than business-analyst-tagged roles at similar tenure inside the same firm. If there is one negotiable thing at joining, it is which family the role is booked under.

Your band, not your years. Across these four companies the published level tables span two to four times from the entry band to the senior band. Time served moves you within a band; a promotion moves the band.

The switch. Every source here shows the same shape, and it is the shape of the whole Indian analytics market: the band inside a services firm rises slowly, and the step up happens when someone moves to a product company, a bank or a consulting practice. Interview preparation is the lever people underuse, and our data analyst interview questions set is built for exactly that jump.

Where a structured programme fits

Accenture and Deloitte are both among SkilloVilla’s hiring partners, alongside PwC, Razorpay, Swiggy, Flipkart and Mu Sigma. SkilloVilla reports that alumni in data roles earn between 4 and 15 LPA, with a median package of 9.5 LPA and a highest of 32 LPA. Set that against the bands above rather than reading it alone: the median sits above every AmbitionBox company band on this page, and the floor is roughly where a first services-firm analyst offer starts.

The training runs as live online classes with 1:1 mentorship from working analysts, real projects and placement support, plus an offline centre in JP Nagar, Bengaluru. SkilloVilla sells placement assistance rather than a job guarantee. Real transitions, with the companies named, are collected in the SkilloVilla success stories hub.
